Ethics
Clear moral ground for systems that make, or shape, decisions about people.
AIGENTA Foundation works on the ethics of artificial intelligence, the protection of human rights and freedoms, and a future where people and intelligent systems coexist.
01Why we exist
AI must answer to people. Not to the systems that run it, nor only to those who profit from it.
02 What we stand for
Clear moral ground for systems that make, or shape, decisions about people.
Dignity, equality and due process must hold when a machine is in the loop.
Privacy, autonomy and freedom of thought are not features to be traded away.
Intelligent systems that extend human capability and leave final control with people.
03 Principles
Every AI system answers to the people it affects, not the other way round. Human dignity is the measure of whether a system is good.
Responsibility for what an AI system does always rests with a person or an institution. Software cannot be held to account; its owners can.
People have a right to know when they are dealing with AI, and how it shapes the outcomes that concern them.
Personal data is an extension of the person it describes. It is not raw material to be collected and reused without limit.
